A Third Section N of The Football League was a level within English association football, which ran parallel to Third Division South from 1921 to 1958.

A Third Section South got been formed a former year (when just a Third Section) by having Twenty-two teams mostly from either a Southern League. It was decided that this gave a league bay of a southern bias, therefore a Third Section Northward was created to damages the balance. Notwithstanding, there was non a northern same of the Southern League, therefore simply Xx teams can be incurred, taken from either many regional leagues: the Midland League, the Central League, the North Eastern League, the Lancashire Combination and the Birmingham Combination. The farther ii teams were added within 1923 to take a sum to Twenty-two.

Single 1 promotion place was available every year from either Third Section N to the Second Division, which made it super hard to win promotion. Eight teams were ever-present in the section for the xxx years of its being.

Within 1958 a two regional Third Divisions were merged together, to produce the recently Third Division and Fourth Division.
